When Shark River Hills first opened as a summer resort development in 1923, it was advertised as “A Healthy Place to Raise Children Amidst the Fresh Air and Pines.” Over 80 years later, the same can still be said of living in Shark River Hills. Golfers love to take a swing at the Shark River Golf Course, and boaters will enjoy setting course from the Shark River Marina and Yacht Club located at its waterline. The south end of Shark River Hills boasts a wonderful display of local wildlife, featuring osprey, swans, egrets, bald eagles and more that regularly make stops and call the area home.
